Re: Cannon safes?
I bought the huge cannon beast from tsc awhile back on sale. They had several in stock an each had some ding or scratches or the skid was busted up(not knowing if I would leave it on skid in its final place was a deciding factor). I ended up choosing the one in the main safe aisle, unfortunately they opened it and removed all the stuff they themselves were storing i it. During checkout by the store manager I asked about a discount for the minor scratches and pointed out as he knew that all of them were damaged. I don’t recall off hand but I think it was another 10% off on top of the sale price. The day it was delivered I noticed two of the shelf clips were missing so I visited cannons website and submitted a form around 8pm or so, twenty minutes later a cannon rep called to get the rest of my info and then sent me 6 shelf clips and a small container of touch up paint. Now I’m sure a lot of the others would do the same but twenty minutes had me impressed.

Re: Cannon safes?
This thread pretty much answered most of my questions. TSC has a 59"Hx50"Wx28"D fire rated to 75 minutes this weekend for $1000 ($300 off). I am past due for getting me a safe and am most probably going to go there tomorrow (1st day of the sale) and buy me one. Any updates to the previous information posted here?

Re: Cannon safes?
Don't think I have ever seen a safe that was not "on sale".

Re: Cannon safes?
One example....every Sunday flier from _ _ _ _'s shows two or three safes, $200 and $300 off.
Search any brand online, and you will often find they are marked down.
I never said they are always on sale. I saidDon't think I have ever seen a safe that was not "on sale".
I was simply remarking on the marketing approach associated with selling safes, that I have observed. YMMV.

Re: Cannon safes?
OK, I understand your explanation there. Yes, there are always some on sale and I pity the guy who has to have one right now and pays full price. I tooled around and missed out on a good sale at Costco a while back. It seems like Costco bulk buys someone's closeouts and offers a good deal but no regularity to it. TSC most always has one size or another on sale.
