    Default CC at Strasburg Railroad

My search foo might be weak since I'm on my phone, but does anyone have any information on carrying at/on the SRR? We're taking the kids down in a few weeks and want to know their policy beforehand.. I mean, I doubt they have metal detectors and xray machines, but it's been over 25yrs since I've been there.

Couldn't find anything on a Google search either...

    Thanks!

Eta: I know the rules governing Amtrak and things like that, where one is actually commuting/traveling, but I wasn't sure if this is different due to it being an attraction, and I'm assuming privately owned..?

Strasburg is a tourist railroad and now with the advent of PTC Strasburg is spiked from Amtrak so Amtrak rules do not apply. You are allowed to carry on Septa trains according to the laws of the state. Strasburg is a private company and I can't find anything on the website about a firearms policy. I know they don't have metal detectors. I don't think they are too concerned about train robbers but be discreet. If you have young kids they love Thomas the Tank engine.

    I've CC'ed there.

The only time I was there and not armed was when I was a child.

Years ago when our kids were of that age, we did Thomas the Tank Engine, and I carried. I have since known several people affiliated who work there, and they tend to the Conservative. Granted, that's not official policy, and IANAL, but discretion is your friend here, as it should be in general, IMO. I doubt it's a problem carrying there. Call ahead and ask if you're concerned.

Did the SRR lots of times as a kid and also with my boys. I always wondered how they got the engine back around to the front for the return trip to the station?
