New Deathwish movie

I rented this movie and liked it especially the AC/DC section as the music just fit - there were some gory parts in this movie.

Shortcomings - father-in-law shoots at poachers and 3rd shot of shotgun somehow didn't need him to rack it, Bruce shoots and no recoil?? and another - loading a mag has fmj then hollow point and then fmj ? Where are the people who know something about firearms for these movies ??? sheeesh....

Overall, although i like Bruce Willis and his calm demeanor, but i still rate the original with Charles Bronson better overall. (and i can't say Charles was much of an actor but the others were great in it) Edit - thinking about Charles, I did watch a lot of his movies - guess i did like him (-:

Overall the movie was Ehhh.

I just watched the biography of Charles Bronson. He made 14 movies with his wife Jill Ireland. He began his working career as a coal miner but he developed claustrophobia and had to find another way of making a living. Remakes are rarely as good as the originals.

Didn't know they did a remake of Mechanic...that would be tough to beat.

I liked the pro gun message. It was a decent movie. I agree the worst part was the full auto AR-15 at the end. It also contradicted earlier in the movie when the hot gun chick told him there was a waiting period. Overall I thought he did pretty well but he's no Charles Bronson.

Charles Bronson (born Charles Buchinsky in Ehrenfeld (Cambria County), Pennsylvania). Was told by locals he was a real, down-to-earth guy, occasionally came back to the South Fork area to visit his brother, ate lunch at Kosta's Restaurant in Ebensburg just like anyone else.

Supposedly there's a plaque posted in Ehrenfeld showing where his family home was/is.

Home town kid made good, remembered his roots.
