aside from the situations weve discussed i will in NO way consent to a vehicle search. ill get locked up before i do that. You do that and you open yourself up to god knows what kind of charges. Agreed.
Bravo get yourself 2 dash cams, one facing the windshield and one facing the interior of the van.
If possible set the interior view cam in a spot that is not noticeable.
Power your cams off your interior power source so they will continue to film when the van is shut off.

I DO NOT recommend waiting for the cop to walk up to your vehicle then flooring it while yelling, "You'll never take me alive copper!"

    Just sayin'.😈

I know everyone says don't tell voluntarily, what if they ask "Any weapons in the vehicle?" Not wanting to lie, my response would be "Nothing illegal". Any other suggested serious answers?

    That's not a good idea.
Any experienced cop will take that answer as evasive.
It will almost certainly produce the opposite response you are looking for.

    The 5th Amendment always applies.

Remove all the NRA stickers and glossy AR-15 decals from the exterior of the vehicle.

Try not to store your traveling coffee and pastries in an old cardboard "1,000 rounds 5.56 ammunition" box on the passenger seat.

Avoid smelling like a day at the range.

You literally do not have to speak. However, if you're feeling chatty, you could say something like: Good morning officer, here are my license, registration, and proof of insurance, I do not consent to answer any questions without my lawyer present.
