Default Re: Practice LEO Pistol Qualification in SW PA for non-LEO's

Here's the course of fire for our July 12th event. We are moving from a modified course of fire to the exact LEO Course I have to qualify with once a year. We will be using TQ19 targets and dummy rounds. We will have 9mm, 40S&W, and 45ACP dummy rounds. If you have a different caliber, please bring 2 dummy rounds in your caliber.

Well, we got rained on, but it wasn't bad, even though we were on the ground a couple of dozen times. It has been a little tough on the bigger out of shape guys though, getting up and down and rolling around on the ground all day.

It's SOOO nice shooting the advanced class. No time outs for remediation, very few alibi shots, and no endless malfunctions when somebody brings a crappy pistol to class. I did have one alibi during the qualifier, a round of Hornady Critical Defense wouldn't chamber. A-buck-a-round ammo ought to run!

My TQ targets for years, were these. Ha.

Then, recently, I ordered some of these.

These are my favorites. Camo a bit tough to see and Randy Cain does not ship these. He delivers when he's doing a class.
They are pricey but outline some internal organs, bone structure and ocular cavity.

Anything outside the ocular cavity and COM is considered a miss even walking quickly and shooting from 25 and working in.
My weak point as is all distance shooting

Will this shoot also include 1 run with primary weapon and second run with BUGs?

    Bumping this.
I just got my ticket, put some new sights on that 17, will check POA/POI on Fri and run the 19 a bit.
