Have fun tomorrow, the weather looks great. I'd love to join you, but I'll be busy tomorrow and I already cleaned and oiled my gun.

Good luck on Friday. We both shot pretty good yesterday, let's see if one of us can get the elusive perfect score in the real qual. I've never quite been able to do it. Maybe if I wasn't so in love with my DA/SA.

I scored a 118/120 last year and hoping to improve on that, which is the best I have ever done. Good luck, I'll posts my qualification score on Friday.

We will have slots open for tonights practice qualification.

    Next one is July 12th:

Ever wonder if you could pass an LEO Pistol Qualification? I have to do my yearly LEO Pistol Qualification this Friday and my buddy asked if he could practice with me, then his wife, etc. So, figured why not invite the public out to the range to run the qualification with me. This is NOT a sanctioned LEO Qualification, it will simply answer the question, "Would you pass an LEO Pistol Qualification?" If you score 70 points, then you probably would. If you score 100+ points, you definitely would. A perfect score is 120.

The $20 covers the targets and the two range safety officers that will be running the course. Free for Lifetime members of our range.

Details: We will run a modified the entire PA Constable LEO Pistol Qualification Course. 20 slots are available at $20 per slot or free for Life Members of our range. Shooters are required to bring 100 rounds of ammo, pistol, 2 magazines, safety glasses, ear protection, hat, and holster.

This is a modified qualification. A few stages were tweaked to improve safety.

Any questions, call or text us at 724-249-5112. Spectators are welcomed at no cost.

Just marked it in my calender.
    I'm in for this.
    Good time with good people.
Tredd. Shoot tomorrow like you did tonite.
The 120 will be there again.

EM. Bring that Glock 19 an hour early and we'll have you shooting the ears off a fly at 15 yds.

I would not mind doing this again, although I would personally prefer to shoot as in line with the actual LE qualifier as possible. Meaning: using the same targets, reducing the time limit for the weak hand transition, and including the malfunction remediation.

Still, it was fun, and as always, it helped me find the weaknesses in my personal skill set/ technique/gear. I would do it again, regardless.

Actually, now that you mention it, in July we will be using the TQ-19 targets and we will be using dummy rounds to simulate malfunctions.
