Thousands march across NYC’s Brooklyn Bridge in gun protest
I don't get it. What are they protesting? Isn't it next to impossible to exercise your Constitutional rights in NYC and NJ already?
Thousands march across NYC’s Brooklyn Bridge in gun protest
NEW YORK (AP) — Thousands of demonstrators have marched across New York’s Brooklyn Bridge in a protest against gun violence.
A student-led group called Youth Over Guns organized Saturday’s protest. The group formed after the deadly mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, in February.
The protesters marched across the bridge and then rallied in lower Manhattan. Most wore orange to show their support for gun violence awareness.
Aalayah Eastmond, a survivor of the shooting at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, addressed the crowd. Actresses Julianne Moore and Susan Sarandon also were in attendance.
The march was one of several taking place around the country to protest gun violence and urge lawmakers to pass gun restrictions."There's nothing funny about a clown in the moonlight." ~ Lon Chaney

they could have jumped off the bridge to really get their point across.
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

Re: Thousands march across NYC’s Brooklyn Bridge in gun protest
What they need to focus on is gun, knife, fist, gang, drug, etc... violence not gun laws. I can see that more and more of these people in these protest get it and are not the typical antigun nut. They know banning a type of gun isn't going to stop anything. The problem is the perpetrator not the tool used. Some of these protesters are protesting violence. They passed gun laws in these states and the gun violence didn't stop, so most of these people know laws won't fix the problem. They know laws won't stop anything from happening. They are just angry. I bet that most of the people in these protest argue with the single minded antigun crowd. They are probably saying "Not these people again...." when they show up with their signs and megaphones.

It is intended to keep "gun control" in the news, organized by one of Michael Bloomberg's anti gun front organizations.
They have to do something between the school shootings .

Re: Thousands march across NYC’s Brooklyn Bridge in gun protest
The Democrats probably want the Republicans to "show their compassion" by voting for "gun control". They know that the Republicans will either anger their base and lose House seats or anger people because they're "not compassionate".
I bet if the Democrats win back either the House or the Senate their first order of business will be taking care of their rich friends and messing around with impeaching Trump. Trump was right, they didn't do anything from 2009 to 2012 about firearms. They were too worried about cutting deals with Insurance companies and "big pharma" to worry about mundane stuff like jobs or firearms.
Trump's support of "Red Flag" laws and his "Don't be afraid of the NRA" speech shows that he's a lightweight friend. He's from New York City and used to go golfing with Bloomberg. He'll stick it to us a few more times before he goes. He already encouraged the Florida and Vermont GOPer governors to sign on to the Everytown crap.
