    Best lubricant/coolant for machining aluminum? Isopropanol ( anhydrous [water free] alcohol).

    All we used for machining aluminum. Couldn't believe it myself till I used it at a place I worked. No residue or messy clean-up. 91% Isopropyl will work too.

    Yes on the alcohol, its quite nice to use with ventilation!! Keep a air line near by to blow any chips out of the trigger pocket and if you dont have a compressor a few cans of air from walmart will work.
