Montco concealed carry license.

I took my wife to courthouse in Norristown to renew her license Friday and discovered Montco, as of May 1, 2018, now has a waiting period. She filled out the application and will be notified when she can return to the courthouse to pick up her license.

That's sad to hear. I just renewed mine last year in 20 mins because it was fairly crowded.

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that they were switching to an online application submission followed by a trip to pick it up when it clears.

Still waiting, never thought I would need to look up what to do if they came up against the max time allowed (since I'm not in Philly).

Since they don't "give status updates over the phone" I guess I'll have to drive over and see what they have as my application date.

Thats strange. I applied for my Montco CC via email on June 18th and got it the next day. This was my first time applying too.

My son, who had a LTCF from Centre County needed to apply for Montco, since he moved here and his Centre County one had expired in January. He did the "online" application Thursday, June 21, and picked it up Tuesday, June 26. He got there early, was the only one waiting, and was out in a few minutes. This was a "new" application, not a renewal.
