    Default It's Politics

Isn't it time to consider that this surge in shootings of politically convenient timing are not all happenstance?

There was a lady on the news this morning who said the question of why this is happening needs to be asked.
    Spot on.

School is almost over for the year. Harder to have a school shooting when nobody is there.
Are you insinuating these are false flag operations carried out by anti-gun suicidal 17 year olds?
I think Parkland got so much press, copycats were sure to follow up. As usual, the press becomes the story rather than reporting on it.

I agree, I believe this is all due to these kids wanting to be copycat killers. Either that or the sensors in their heads have been activated by the Illuminati for nefarious purposes.

When school is out there are other "gun free" zones to hit. Also when authorities have credible information and do not act on it (red flags), it does create some doubt and then the media does 24/7 coverage for weeks calling for gun control.

Can you blame people for being suspicious.

Let the shooters die in ignominy. No publicity, no stories of their sad child hood, no stories of them being bullied, etc. Without publicity these shootings will STOP. This is my theory.

Violence is part of Human DNA. The survival of the fittest ensures that the most ruthless and violent traits survive. A few hundred years of civilization cannot erase that.
Or if you prefer, we have had violence against our fellow man since Cain and Able.

Given this fact, the push to DO something every time there is a violent act is naive.

I don't think this boy was making a political statement, he had poor self image, crappy parents and could not handle his teen years as well as 99.9% of his peers. One or two or three meltdowns out of a hundred million data points is insignificant. It's the media that magnifies each one as an intolerable act and looks for blame where none exists.

I'm thinking this will be the summer of mall shootings when school is out...unfortunately.

I think life will go on as it always has and that the only "epidemic" of shootings is the one that is planted in your mind by the media.

Apparently "we" think there's an "epidemic" too because every freaking time a shooting occurs someone here inevitably titles a thread "Another School Shooting".

The use of the word "another" implies a trend. It's an emotional ploy.
Stop playing their game. It was a "shooting" - no need to imply anything more than what it is.
