I really like my my mp2.0 5" with trijicon hd+ sights on it. Feels as good sa a VP9 in my hand is a little more accurate.

    Nice title.

My only full size is a S&W 4006, 4" barrel.

If you were at the rally you saw it.

Why? Because I wanted it. The heavy metal frame calms the recoil down. Very easy to rack and operate.

    ok. range report.
i rented the 19x, frame fit my hand well so wasn't worth trying the 19gen4
i rented the vp9 which felt very very good.
i borrowed an xdm which was meh, it felt weird and slippery.
i felt the p320 and it just seemed between the vp and 19x, heavy slide, not as comfortable grip so i didnt even try it.

i really really need to work on form and put in serious dry fire time, but i was about equal with either of the two.
night and day compared to a pocket pistol, why did i buy such a small gun?

Edit: pretty certain about this so these are my model #'s for my future reference. although i wouldn't mind help finding deals.
ALL 9 mm and night sights
700009LE‐A5, Black with three 15 rd. mag
700009LEL‐A5, with two 10 rd. mag

700009FDELE-A5, FDE frame with three 15 rd. mag
700009FDELEL-A5, with three 10 rd. mag

81000139, Midnight Bronze with three 15 round mag
    81000140, three 10 round mag
i think the extra L in the #'s is for "lame" IE compliant models.

9mm is enough for2 legged critters. My EDC is a G26. I just like the feel of the mp 2.0 full size. If they made it in 10mm id probably buy one of those too.
I take the 10mms when i go camping .....or Alaskan 454 if going deep in the woods.

    such a silly attachment.

not sure if it's worth trying to find a deal on a night sight model or just go au naturale

If you plan to get your Act 235 I am assuming you will be working armed security. Or, are you getting it just because you can?

If you're getting the certification and will be working armed security why would you even consider trying to qualify with your 'pocket pistol"? If the contract requires armed guards someone has determined there is a threat and it is likely armed. This would be like someone considering attending barber school... with their Swiss Army Knife scissors.

Check out Surplus City in Feasterville. They always have police trade ins for about half of the budget you stated. Right now they have S&W 5906s for $299.95 and Beretta 92Ss for $295. If you go there take the time to look through all of the pistols. I lucked out 2 years ago when I found an unissued Gen 4 Glock 17 for $285. It was an armor's model and was still sealed in the case from the factory.

I think it's worth it for the LE night sight models, if you don't have a strong preference for a different set of sights... They're not much more expensive, you get a 3rd mag, and the slide cocking assists can make it trickier to use a sight pusher to DIY your own sights.
