    Default Susquehana co Courthouse

I noticed today that the new addition and new entrance for the Courthouse in Montrose has a "No Firearm or weapon on premises" sign. Does that mean they no longer allow firearms to be checked? Anyone know what is going on?

I was in there last Wednesday. It was about the 4th time since the remodel. Told the deputy that I had a firearm and he handed me a key to one of the lockers. No muss, no fuss! I've been in several other county courthouses and I would say Susquehanna is the easiest and most pleasant of all.

York County has the same signage. I just walk in and make sure I get the attention of one of the folks
at the earliest approach to the security station to let them know I am carrying.
They have always been professional at the very least, and sometimes friendly and outright chatty about my
1911. Whichever the case I have never been made to feel uncomfortable, or that I have made a bad choice.

Your mileage may vary but I hope you have a similar experience. Let us know how it goes.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

You can never make a bad choice with a 1911.

Was at an LTC conference in Thompson a few weeks ago. The Sheriff made mention of the new lockers for handguns the county has installed and that the deputies are ready to check in your handguns without any fuss. They have always been pleasant to deal with.

Good to know. I got worried but haven't had the time to inquire. I know Sheriff Benedict has been great in the past but wasn't sure about others. Thanks
