Default Pa House bills would prevent the Amish from buying guns.

I saw a page from the Prince law firm in reference to Pa house bills 1400, 2249, 2251.
These bills require that every sale of a firearm or ammunition would require the purchaser to provide a "valid identification document with a picture".
It's the opinion of the firm that this would preclude the Amish from purchasing weapons or ammunition, because of the religious probation against having there pictures taken.

I believe many do hunt, firearms and bow.
The philosophy is "non resistance" so they wouldn't (shouldn't) harm another human being.
Hunting for meat or pest control is fine, if I understand correctly.

When I bought my AR, there was a group of Amish in buying a fully outfitted goose gun.

Yes I have family that have land they let the Amish farm and hunt unless we want to use it that day. They use long gun's and wear cammo with blaze orange.

The communities north and east of Brookville hunt around the calendar, claiming crop damage. Even now, as or before anything is peeking through the ground.

    True story...

Last Thursday, I was among a group of our gun club members gathered outside of the clubhouse before the monthly meeting was about to begin. While we were chewing the fat, a young Amish gentleman walked up and asked for an application for membership. Turns out, “Elmer” lives in a neighboring farm, adjacent to our club property. Anyway, he was the real deal, suspenders, straw hat and all. We all introduced ourselves, handed Elmer an application and then he was on his way.

Guy probably has great carpentry skills that would come in handy at our work parties.

Wow, that's racist. I guess if you saw a black guy you'd assume he's great at selling drugs or a Puerto Rican great at getting hub caps?

Ha, nice try... everyone knows Amishmen can build barns with their eyes closed... it’s in their DNA. Anyway, the Amish are a religious order, not a race.
