I've been to a number of auctions and flea markets where guns and ammo were sold. I saw quite a few Amish and Mennonite buying guns and ammo. Mostly old, utilitarian hunting arms. I was surprised how much they paid for ammo... in some cases more than it costs new in a store.

Not uncommon, really. Auctions, folks get a bit of a rush and get carried away to win...seen it plenty of times.

Flea markets...people assume it's a bargain or aren't aware of current price.

On the flip side, I've managed several very good buys at garage and yard sales. Heck, my FIL picked up a decent Garand at a yard sale for $50 several years ago.

I'm guessing you have never been to a gun show outside of the city.

Ohio Amish drink beer too, they're cool... and they’re also allowed to fornicate on Sundays.

I have zero doubt this law would very quickly lead to a lawsuit. I believe there was already a lawsuit filed by an Amish man over the unconstitutional photo ID requirement.

You'd be surprised how many Amish have photo ID and a lot of them have hunting camps.
