    Animals are tools to the Amish and they take very good care of them, just like you or I would take care of our own tools. Animals are their livelihood, providing labor, sources of food, etc. They don’t generally get personally attached to them like pets though.

    Why did it have to be selling drugs and stealing hub caps? It could have been dancing and cooking rice and beans you know.

    Some of them run legal puppy mills and the quality of life in some of those is poor from what I hear but I rarely believe what I hear these day's.

    We got Sig from an Amish family outside of Ephrata.

    He's the smartest, happiest, healthiest, friendliest, overall most awesomest dog I've ever had.

    One thing's for sure, they know good breeding stock.
