If they ask for your previous residences, that wouldn't include PO boxes, since you didn't reside there, and there's no landlord or neighbors for them to talk to anyway.

If they deny based on that, you file an appeal and when it crosses Brad Richman's desk he'll call you and most likely reverse the denial.

If you used a service that provides a box, and you told PennDOT that it was your residence, then you may have other issues, depending on how long ago it was.

This brings up more questions, such as "why do you need a address to drive a car"? Where you live has nothing to do with the ability to drive a car.

I have learned a shit ton since them so I understand that they were overstepping even then (about 17 years ago).
My renewal in Delco a month or so ago took 13 days.

Only out is if they know you for bad reasons. Not parking tickets.

You’re right it’s too expensive to fight and they count on that. Preemption was supposed to fix that.
That was my point, they add the extra steps and requirements on their own. Too bad we have jobs and con not just protest all day in front of the Philadelphia gun unit headquarters.
    Some people just plain suck.

My last one took about the same. I wish I had the funds to test the sign off for an NFA item with the Delco sheriff. LOL

My renewal in Indiana County (Inco?) took maybe 13 minutes, and that included checking in my handgun at the court house's front desk, riding the elevator up to the second floor, turning in my renewal application, getting my new license, going back downstairs and retrieving my handgun.

"They (the interviewing officer) also forced me to gice my SSN even tho it said optional and I was saying I did not wnt to put it on the app sheet but the officer insisted I do! I am concerened because it says your info can go public on this app on a website belonging to the city, is this correct?"

There is no web site listing gun permit applications.
Your SSN will not be exposed by the application process.

At least not that I am aware of.

Doesn't matter, optional is optional. They shouldn't be forcing someone to put down non-required information.

It will be exposed to everyone who can get to the application. And as streaker said, optional is optional. They just like to show their muscles in Philly.

I thought Philadelphia's application process autonomy was because they are also considered to be their own county. Not so much being a city of the first class. Am I wrong about that?
