Absentee parents, SSRI drugs, video games, and movies minimalizing the results of violence, cyber bullying, a harshening, crude, impolite, overly permissive society, a more Progressive outlook where everything goes. It all adds up to little to no rules, or accountability in someone's mind that may be a little, or a lot off.

Almost like the media is encouraging this.

If this guy used a shotgun I guarantee the new age to buy ANY firearm will be 21.

I've had a gun and ammo in my bedroom since I was 9yrs old (50 yrs) and never shot anybody. We can't even volunteer to keep an eye on our local schools because of the damn Gun-Free Zone bullshit. Instead of grief counselors, they should have mental screenings in schools. Something has to be preemptive beside 2A infringement. When their is a murderer, should he get punished or should we punish everybody in the community? Same thing here, with punishing us for somebody else's illegal activity.
That is my question as well! What is it that has devalued the worth of a human life that these monsters think nothing of taking as many as they can, like some kind of game? I am not strongly religious, but do have a Christian background and I fully believe the removal of most religion and things like the Ten Commandments are part of the problem. If everything is relative, there are no absolutes, and death is very absolute!

I feel for the upcoming generations, that will have to sort this out. I am old enough that I will be discounted by many as an old white guy, and my time is over, but I will tell you that as bad as things might have been, they were better than what I see coming if the path we are on does not change. I foresee a 'lost generation' that we will have to endure before the pendulum swings back to the middle, and sanity prevails again. I am optimistic, however, that it will happen...

Don't say that too loud. There are currently very few Possession laws (and only in antigun states) but that push is coming next. I had a shotgun at 15 (but my dad bought it for me). I even used it when hunting alone or with other people under 21.
