Re: Suggestions for high-end doublestack 9mm w/ manual safety
Thank you.
I have some yard work to do as well as getting some guns shipped. I'm hoping to get that done today then I can wring it out a little bit on Friday. The mag and a half fired yesterday to use-up a partial box of ammo was grin worthy. The weight combined with the light recoil of the 9mm provides a very solid feel."A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself"

The Beretta 92fs is very high end (any 92 is, IMO). You can get 20 round MecGars that are nearly flush. Beretta makes a 30 round mag too.
They are very accurate, and they are very reliable and durable. The average M9, in the Army trials, went 13,000 rounds before a failure. Beretta claims to have taken a 92 at random from the factory floor, and put 100,000 round through it without ill effect to the gun.
