Not going to happen with the magnet gun mount.

I'm not stating anything as fact because as I said I just can't remember clearly enough.
You would be correct.. but not because the MRI would hurt the firearm.. but it WOULD work like a giant wall magnet and pin the office to the side of it. only way down is to Degauss and that COSTS big $$$ and time to get it back in working condition... People have been seriously hurt and died from the magnetic pull of a MRI machine see link below.. my favorite is the buffer

This is my favorite! Can't pass up an opportunity to post it yet again.

It's an extremely in depth case report of the incident.

When I had to sit through MRI safety while working at the VA they had some graphic photos.. one that everybody gasped at was an officers duty belt pinned to the side of the MRI as the pistol, handcuffs, key ring, etc etc sucked him up against the machine. they got him out of the belt and someone snapped the picture before they hit degauss

I use a hard drive magnet and two screws on my center consoule. It’s about the size of a match book. Freebie and holds a g19 without issue. But it’s only used for riding in the car, not long term.

I use go magnets. I noticed moisture build up on between the magnet and slide. The magnet can also pull off with the gun and could interfere with function. I solved both of these by using two magnets and putting the pistol in a sticky holster. Best of all worlds. Holds securely and slides ride out when drawn, the holster falls to the floor and magnets stay put.

Here's what I have in the bedroom closet along with other goodies.
It's been up there going on 5 years no issues with finish, function, moisture or anything else.

Cant remember the brand of the magnet but it's rated for up to 50lbs.
