What Position Do Yinz Carry?

Hello Poofers,

I have always carried my firearm in the 2 - 3 O'clock position and sometimes pocket carry. I recently noticed on those "Tac-Tic- Kool" Shows on the Outdoor Channel "Best Defense" Ext. some of the people carry in the 12 - 1, O'clock position.

I have never carried in the 12 - 1 position but might try it out to see if any advantage is gained. Most of my carry guns are compact or Sub-Compact. Rarely do I carry full size and when I do I open carry.

What Position Do Yins Carry?

SIDE NOTE If anyone carries in the non-traditional 12, 1, 5 or 6, O'clock Position Please Tell why?

I carry “appendix” in the 1:00 position, more or less the barrel rests right against the corner of the “V” of the groin/inner thigh. I carry in that position because I find that spot to be the best concealing and most comfortable for me both standing and sitting down. Also there’s a couple smaller benefits that like slightly faster draw time and easier access with my left hand if needed, compared to carrying at 3-5:00.

I usually OC 99%of the time so I carry at the 3 position but sometimes I will carry my taurus as a backup in the 6 o'clock position

I marked 3 and 4 because in reality it's at 3:30.

I carry at 1. Appendix is comfortable, conceals better and is quicker to draw from.
I use the Raven Vanguard and it's a great solution.

The glock and 1911 ride at 4 o clock


The RPG and Ma deuce are pocket carry.....

If your going to carry appendix which I often do then make sure you have the right holster for it because it will matter big time.
