Re: Palmetto AR 9mm pistol
This was the same basic price as the Ruger PC, but classified as a pistol, so shorter barrel and OAL . Longer barrel on 9mm doesn't by you much (any?) Velocity, and I want to get this suppressed when I get the funds. Personal preference, both seem to be adequate weapons.

Re: Palmetto AR 9mm pistol
Sounds like you did good on the price then.
I keep forgetting this is a PISTOL thread. LOL
I don't regret building a 5.56 AR pistol, but I do wish I would have built a 9mm AR pistol too.
The 9mm AR carbine is great, but I think the 9mm shines in pistol form.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Palmetto AR 9mm pistol
I too went the 5.56x45 AR pistol route first, and my only regret is that they are addictive ! started with a 10.5 inch barrel for velocity reasons, then went 8 inch just for kicks and giggles (and fireballs...) THEN I decided I had to have one in 9mm for the Glock mags to match my 26 and 17... Damn, I'm not sure I can stop... 300 blackout is still out there taunting me... (if the boolits weren't so expensive...). I love how light handling they are, easy to shoot, and just put that smile on your face...

Re: Palmetto AR 9mm pistol
Built a 10.5" upper on a PSA Glock mag lower. Ran perfect from day one. Only had Glock 17 mags so that's what I use. Wouldn't mind a longer one sometime in the future though. I have a Silencerco Octane 45 can in "jail" now, but the shop has a range attached so I can play with it while I wait on the ATF. Quiet. Not as quiet as my 300 BLK rifle with a Harvester can, but still quiet.
Makes a great "house gun".

Re: Palmetto AR 9mm pistol
Watch out on the PSA 9mm carbine/pistols when you get ready to mount a can.
Last couple i messed with for customers, and noted on PSA website, had a 1/2-36 thread pitch.
I had no idea at the time, never looked at that weapon for more than a 5 sec glance at an email from PSA.
Customers asked for a 1/2-28 tpi piston and thats what they got.
They were a little bummed out when they got home and couldn't shoot their new can on their weapon.HGW, llc ~ Title 1 & NFA sales/manufacturing ~ Transfers - Title 1 $20 - NFA $50
