IIRC, the distance for the rifles was about 90'-100' straight on. Maybe, 150' at an angle, depending where on the line you are firing.

I might try that. Though countersinking into AR500 steel with my junk harbor freight tools may be tough.

I still have 1000 rounds of 556 from Ed that I will donate to the shoot.
The ammo is free to all, but if people want to pay $5 for the ammo I will donate the cash collected to the GOA in Ed's honor.

I will also bring a few coolers of bottled water and coke.
If people want other drinks let me know and I can throw them in.

I'll be there for set-up at 10:00 on Friday.

As far as food goes, we'll bring about 30 hotdogs & buns, condiments, assorted chips, and a couple of pounds of bacon. If I see other yummy stuff and can manage to fit it in with all the gear, I'll drag that along too. Sheesh! I'm beginning to think I need something like Streaker's horse and buggy...

For those of you who haven't yet attended one of these events - it's a great time to meet new friends, put faces with names, try out some gear., and if the spirit moves you - share your gear too. It totally averages out....

Additionally, if you have a portable slingback chair, those are always welcome especially if you need a place to sit down. If you have a pavillion-type tent, bring that along too for your portable "shade". Water-filled plastic jugs also make good targets - just be sure to bring a garbage bag to help haul away old "expired" targets...

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Kudos to those bringing steel targets...this event just keeps getting better and better.

Good idea, I forget that every year.

Now I just have to remember how to edit the title.
