Re: MODS: time for a recommendation here.
Not everyone on this forum are focused exclusively on self-defense. I'm foremost a "shoot guns for fun" kind of guy. I easily grasp the difference between "sporting" or "completive" shooting and training for self-defense.
Am I concerned about self-defense? Yes, but with appropriate measure for my environment and life style.
Do I think I'll ever have to resort to a firearm for self-defense in my life time? Nope.
Do I contemplate the possible negative outcomes of a self defense shooting scenario? Yes. Should it keep me awake at night? Nope.
As others have said, the plan is to keep my mouth shut and employ a lawyer if questioned or charged.Toujours prêt

Nope, just browsing through the commentary, such as it is, and waiting for something substantive to respond to. So far, couple of them merit a response. I’ll hang loose to see if any more show up. In the interim, I appreciate all your responses. They fit into a much wider scope of such comments that are being generated elsewhere.

Re: MODS: time for a recommendation here.
Firearm training and deadly force legality instruction are not mutually exclusive.
Most gun owners lack extensive training, and any initiative to improve their firearm proficiency should be encouraged.
Better to encourage both firearm training and deadly force legality instruction, as opposed to insulting one while promoting the other. How can you have any cookies if you don't drink your milk?

Re: MODS: time for a recommendation here.
Honestly, I think that's the biggest problem I have with the OP. It seems he runs some training sessions, and wants more business, but he's now come here and decided to insult/shame his prospective clients. Not exactly the best business model. Maybe he should consider teaming up with a gun range in the Pittsburgh area.

Re: MODS: time for a recommendation here.
Know your DA. I don't mean have a drink with the guy (but it helps) but just being aware of his/her ideology. If I shoot someone in self defense in Perry County, the criminal portion will be wrapped up quickly with a finding of justifiable. Obviously, someone in Philly has to be far more wary given the DA in that city.
