Default My dad keeps telling everyone that PA is no longer an open carry state

Apparently, he read on the internet that Governor Wolf took away the right to OC. I can't find any information here other than some info about a SOE that means that only people LTCF can open carry. Am I correct in my understanding?

No, it isn't. It is so he can funnel State money to his campaign donors, specifically some over priced narcan makers.

Screwing us is just a bonus.

    Exactly.

It's absurd to think that Wolf is declaring a state of emergency to stop people from openly carrying guns.
If it didn't offend people, I'd go so far as to say that it's retarded to think that. Oh. I guess I just did.

Think about this for half a second.
How many people in this state open carry? (just make up a number - it's going to be small, right?)
NOW... how many of THOSE people open carry without also having a LTCF? (a pretty small number? A REALLY small number?)
Those are the ONLY people affected by the state of emergency - people with no LTCF, who WALK THEIR ASSES EVERY-FREAKING-WHERE THE WANT TO GO.

You can stop thinking now. I don't want anyone to hurt themselves with this mental exercise.

Some "experts" made a big deal about Wolf declaring the State of Emergency, to get attention. Other people believed the hype. It happens.

Open carry is illegal. Just ask anyone that lives up near Abington PA.
