What a weasel. Why isn't the NY Safe Act and its results ever get brought up? The part about how there are an estimated 1 million rifles and about 44,000 got registered after registration was mandated.

Short term yes, its a failure.

Long term, its a success. Its death by a thousand cuts.

One of my favorite, recently aquired quotes from a President who had a lot of good things to say about the State of our Government...including this doosy.

"The people -- the people -- are the rightful masters of both congresses, and courts -- not to overthrow the constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert it."

Interesting quote considering it came from the only dictator the Country has ever known.

Do you honestly believe the greatest president the country has ever known was actually a dictator? I been educated on the subject. I've researched and red the writings from those who attempt to pass him off as nothing more than a tyrant & a racist. I've studied the argument that declaring civil war on the south was unconstitutional, yadda, yadda. He was by no means perfect....but I do believe he was the best the country has had. That is, possibly until now. Trump is, SO FAR, at least second to Lincoln. We'll have to see what the extent of his presidency brings us.

I can't help but raise an eyebrow every time I come across someone repeating it.

Yes. And even if people did not register them, they put themselves at risk for using them or transporting them. That is not a good result. At this point, the only time they might have to use them is if someone comes to confiscate them. Not a good result either.
