Default Gun Control Works - BS

Anybody that thinks gun control is a good idea needs to open their eyes. Chicago ideas are working so well ... 40 shot in 3 days. They attribute the number of shootings to the warm weather, WTF!!

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime...cid=spartandhp

CHICAGO - A young mother. A 4-year-old girl. A 15-year-old boy riding the bus home from school.

They are among the nearly 40 people shot in Chicago over just three days this week, days when the temperature reached into the 80s and drew more people into the streets. In fact, this level of violence on weekdays is usually not seen until the middle of summer, according to data kept by the Tribune.
On the first warm day Monday, at least one person was killed and nine others were wounded, according to Chicago police. On Tuesday through early Wednesday, 12 people were hit by gunfire over 12 hours, including a 4-year-old girl shot in the shoulder as she sat on a porch on the South Side with her parents. There were also two double-shootings.
Wednesday was the worst of the week so far: At least 14 people hit by gunfire in the city over nine hours. They included a 21-year-old mother of a toddler killed in a West Side drive-by that wounded four teens, and a 15-year-old boy grazed in the head as he rode a CTA bus home from Walter Payton High School.
Nakia Bailey, 21, was standing with a group of people in the 3500 block of West Grenshaw Street in the Homan Square neighborhood when a silver car passed by and a gunman opened fire around 9:30 p.m. She was hit three times and later died at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was the mother of a 1-year-old daughter, according to a crisis responder.
Four teens were also wounded - 15, 17, 18 and 19 - but they were expected to survive.
In all, nine teenagers were shot Wednesday. They included a 15-year-old boy who was grazed in the head by a stray bullet on the Southwest Side while riding a CTA bus home from Walter Payton High School, according to Chicago police. The bullet went under the boy's skin and popped out, Chicago police Superintendent Eddie Johnson told reporters. He was in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
"It's infuriating to me," Johnson said. "We have a good kid doing what we all expect him to do."
Police say a bullet fired from a block or two away smashed through the window of the bus around 1:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of South California Avenue in the Marquette Park neighborhood. A back passenger window, above the wheel well, was cracked.
Around the same time, a 17-year-old boy was shot several times around 71st Street and Ridgeland Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side, about six miles away, police said. He was standing on the sidewalk when someone in a light-colored car opened fire, hitting him in the thigh, police said. He was taken in serious condition at the University of Chicago Hospital.
Another teen boy, 16, was shot in the chest and shoulder about 4:55 p.m. in the 5000 block of West Washington Boulevard in the West Side's South Austin neighborhood. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said.
In another West Side shooting, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the back around 7:20 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Flournoy Street in the Lawndale neighborhood, police said. The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in good condition.
About 20 minutes later, also on the West Side, a 17-year-old boy was shot about 7:40 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Madison Street in West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said. The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle and was in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
    Other shootings Wednesday:
A 29-year-old man was shot in the shoulder around 8:50 p.m. while walking in the 5900 block of South Sangamon Street in the South Side's Englewood neighborhood, police said. He went to St. Bernard Hospital where he was stabilized.
About 5:30 p.m., a 62-year-old woman was shot in the leg in the 6600 block of South Rhodes Avenue in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side just after she got off a bus, police said. The woman was in good condition at a local hospital. She told police she had gotten off the bus when she heard shots and ran home, where she discovered she had been shot in the leg and called 911.
In the West Town neighborhood, also about 5:30 p.m., a 41-year-old man who was lying in bed when a bullet entered his apartment from another apartment in his building, hitting him in the calf, police said. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in serious condition. The man who fired the shot fled the building before officers arrived.
Around 2:30 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in the 5300 block of South Paulina Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side. He was getting into a vehicle when a dark-colored SUV pulled up behind him and an assailant got out and began firing, police said. He drove himself to a local hospital, and was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.

You know gun control works when they use other than guns to accomplish their foul deeds. Not sure, I think it was at Phila airport today, a couple of aircraft cleaners got into a fight. One killed the other by cutting his stomach with a box cutter.

But wait! You know all the guns used in crimes in Chicago come from neighboring states right! At least those that DO NOT come from the CPD evidence room! Of course they neglect to mention that interstate sale of handguns is a Federal crime as is supplying guns to minors and other "prohibited persons". So where are the Feds in all this? We've known for years that enforcement of Federal firearms laws is among the lowest of priorities and prosecution of those crimes even lower.

Sounds like an awful lot of collateral damage. Someone teach these clowns to aim so they can shoot other scumbags instead of little girls.

My mistake, I DID do a search before posting and I found that thread. I didn't hit the link and just went off the "another 14 shot ..." and read through some of the comments. I should have checked the link.

Yeah, neverminding the fact that the surrounding states with lessor gun laws typically have lower crime rates.
