Good encounter at Toyota
My car needed oil change and maintenance, so took it to the dealership. Waiting room was busy, the guys who work there always ask what I’m OCing today. Colt 1911.
1. A guy asks if it’s a Kimber, I say Colt, we talk about guns a little.
2. A customer waiting approaches and asks if anyone gives me a hard around here. I say no. He id’s himself as a motorcycle cop in Philly. We talk a little about phillys laws (he knew the laws well). He even referenced Melanie Hains case (not by name but the story). Seemed supportive and said if everyone open carried we wouldn’t have the crime we have. We exchanged names and that was that.
Good encounters. It’s only my second day OCing after 3 weeks of ccing and the compliments keep coming forth
UPDATE: The gentleman who runs the place came up and shook my hand and complimented me on the Colt. He said he’s a big supporter.

Let’s hope they keep coming.

Routinely open carry at my local Jeep dealer. Of course, it's rural Western Pennsylvania, so it's not like there's going to be more than one or two visitors to the sales area or maintenance office at any one time.

Fred Peruzzi was a police officer in Levittown, Pa (Bristol Township) in the 1960s. He was really into trap and skeet and small and big game hunting. Probably still is. I doubt he would appreciate an employee being anti-gun to a customer.

I'm calling BS. There is no way you talked to a Philly cop who didn't know your PAFOA handle who didn't try to shoot you or your dog.

Re: Good encounter at Toyota
Gave them my two week notice last Thursday as professional courtesy.
Came in today and was told to get the fuck out.
Why couldn't they have just told me that last week? I could have gotten my tools and all my stuff out over the weekend.
Oh wait, I know. Because they're scumbags that don't give two shits about any of their employees. All they care about are dollar signs.
TWENTY mechanics have left there in the less than three years that I've been there. That speaks volumes in itself.
It is truly a third world shithole.
Oh yeah, and don't ever consider buying a used car from them. They buy pieces of shit from the auction across the street, and refuse to put anything into them.
...but I digress.
