    Default NJ and PA reciprocity

What are your thoughts on PA revoking honoring NJ cc licenses? If they won't honor ours why should we honor theirs? The majority of the cc holders in NJ are political crony scumbags anyway.

Has this been tried before? I wonder if we have anyone in office with the balls to make this happen.

PA has never, and will never honor NJ licenses with present law - it doesn't allow for it.

For the AG to grant statutory reciprocity, the other state must also honor PA's LTCF.

NJ's laws do not allow for reciprocal agreements, nor would they enter into one even if their laws did allow for it.

Ok. Fair enough. I know the definition of reciprocity... I thought that I just read that PA honors NJ cc permits... and they do not honor ours... I'm off to find and reread that info.

I must have misread/understood the article that I read. I thought PA recently started to ho or the NJ permit. It won't be the last time that happens.. I think all of the states that do honor it should stop. I think that is a push that the NRA and GOA should emphasize in the other states. In order to win every pressure should be put on the states like NJ, Ny, etc.

I know retired NJ officers. They cannot get a LTCF. Here's how it works. Officer active or retired applies for the license. They are required to undergo training to obtain the license. PRNJ (state) official(s) tell the instructors if they certify, and the certified gets sued, the suit could reach to the instructor that caused the licensing, and the instructors would be on their own...i.e. no support from the state. Instructors put in that position won't certify anyone.

Until they let us be free in their state, I say F 'em.

Let them deal with their own problems first.

Until then, I'm staying out of that cesspool.

Exactly, I was thinking the same thing. I believe NJ has only issues a few thousand per year or less. Unless you know someone or are a cop (retired LEO) there's no such thing in NJ. Heck, it's easier to get a CCW from IL, MD, NY and [even] California!
