Will it be knives next?
I know we always say that if we take away guns it will just be something else used as a weapon. What will it be next? Knives?
Answer: Yes.
I was poking around on some UK sites and apparently knife crime is everywhere, and its seen as an epidemic.
Heres a few stories.

Make sure you read the comments! Most are from Brits, and many are outraged. You see a few people that seem to have some more common sense, and even a few americans, but most of the people are just amazing.
Here is another.

In this one it says despite a reported drop in crime the country is in an uproar for harsher penalties and more police.
It will never end.
This just had me worked up and irritated with the media and the publics willingness to swallow anything and everything as 100% truth with no other side, and any information not in the article is not important or irrelevant.Millions for defense, Not one cent for tribute!

Re: Will it be knives next?
It's already being tried in this country as they want to classify trigger assisted knives as switchblades and want to ban them. I got my initial notice from the NRA and if you watch the televised knife shows (CCN or SMW) they are also bringing up the issue since the bulk of their product would be banned from import. Maybe slingshots, water pistols and rocks will also be banned.

On a bit of a side note; you might find this a bit interesting.
I work at a paper plant, and on diaper side they used to encourage you to bring in your own knife (so they dont have to supply them) because one job has 6 guys opening boxes all night and repacking diapers into bigger boxes.
Someone cut themselves, and now no cutting implements are allowed in the plant. This includes razor knives that the stock room used to keep. So other parts of the plant have been stripped.
They mean for you to just yank hard and break the tape. We've already had repetitive stress injuries and pulled muscles in the first month. But its better this way.
Its been tried before, and how close was it to success?Millions for defense, Not one cent for tribute!
