Phila Inquirer this morning: Trash magnate from York wins. They just don't know when to stop. I'm waiting to get my "Trash Man for Governor" bumper sticker.

Re: Mango or Wagner
Because he's a "personality".
He's got a cult following due to his big, oaf physical appearance and his quest to turn his shithole town into a progressive's dream - a shithole town with a far left leaning mayor.
His wife runs a "free store" where the poor can get clothes and other things for free. He touts banning of guns while he, himself owns them. (and has admitted to carrying a LOADED shotgun in his truck)
He proudly marries gays. He does any and every thing that the far left strives for.
It's really pretty scary.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Mango or Wagner
I will say one thing. It will be a more entertaining campaign season now that Wagner won. I suspect he and Wolf will trade barbs and it will get nasty. It would have been a boring policy wonk campaign if either Mango or Ellsworth had won the primary.
Wouldn't Wolf and Wagner know each other from their pre-political days? Both are business owners from the York area. I imagine they have rubbed shoulders many times in the past. Although if you read Wolf's history on Wikipedia, his business career appears to have been a short stint between Ivy League college and politics, so I wonder how much he did.
