    I too shot the PPK and found recoil and slide bite.Bought a Bersa/Firestorm 380 no slide bite and recoil was a lot more manageable for whatever the reason.

    i have no issues with getting bit with the ppk. snappy? no doubt with hotter loads, but doesn't take much turn down on the powder charge to soften things up.
    it's only metal, we can out think it....

    PX4 Subcompact 13+1 9mm is my regular carry gun.
    Happy with it.
