Default Hornady takes stand on New York

"While it may not make a difference to New York, Hornady will not knowingly allow our ammunition to be sold to the State of NY or any NY agencies."

As a loader I've leaned to Sierra's, but gonna throw some business their way.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Steve Hornady understands how marketing works and that taking this stand will likely benefit his company with additional sales revenue.

I support him nevertheless. Hopefully the residents of NY will start to wake the fudge up and realize what their state government (Cuomo) is doing.

Good for them. I wish other companies would follow their lead.

I applaud Steve Hornady, it’s a great jesture. However, not one NY agency will cry over the lack of Hornady ammo. As good as their bullets are, they don’t have the ability to manufacture the ammo quantity large agencies like NYSP, NYPD, PAPD, Nassau and Suffolk Co require. Even small departments piggyback on the state contract. Federal, Speer and Winchester rain supreme in NY.

    Again, nice jesture...

It's still symbolic, just like Dick's announcing that they will not sell AR15s - when they weren't selling AR15s anyway (except for one of their small subsidiaries).

    Thanks CEPH!

I just ordered a bunch of .416 Rigby bullets from Buffalo Bore, Beartooth Bullets, and Natchez Shooting Supply, sadly none from Hornady.

But I'm gonna fix that by ordering Hornady's on my next re-order.

I tried to rec your post, but apparently I have to spread it around...

I would imagine the FBI would require a substantial quantity of ammo.

I left the world traveller role a few years ago and while I miss the free perks that accumulated, I will never ever ever have to involuntarily enter a non-free American state again where I would spend my money in.

Especially now that In and Out Burgers are avail in AZ and NV.

The feds just put out a press release to buy a gazillion rounds of I think Federal ammo. Hopefully they are using Hornady bullets.
