Wow, I didn't think bullets would slow down that much, even over three miles. The bullet came out of the rifle at 3160 fps, but it took 14 seconds to go 15,840 feet. That means that the bullet was subsonic by the time it hit. It had lost well over 2/3rds of its speed by the time it hit the target.

If you need spotters then you don't see the target. You are effectively firing blindfolded. This is not marksmanship.

Sorry your wrong one needs a spotter to detect where the bullet impacted in relation to the target NOT to see the target for you , just like shooting at any other range if you cant see where your rounds are impactinghow are you gonna make corrections 200 yds 600 yds 1000 yds all the same instead of a spotter you have a spotting scope or someone in the pits marking your target .

This, is wrong. There are marksman who fire literally blindfolded.

Looks like they had Surveying equipment. That thing on the tri-pod sure looks a hell of a lot like a GNSS receiver.
There's three of them because they had to triangulate the target. That's not marksmanship.

The man worked the ballistics before going to the range. Using what he had anticipated to be needed, he accomplished it in 8 rounds. A conclusive test would be demonstrated repeatability, which he apparently plans. Gotta say, I've seen guys fire more than 8 rounds trying to zero a scope at 100 yards.

I guess 25-mile impacts from cannon aren't marksmanship either?
