Semi auto shotguns for big game

Just got the Times Leader newspaper. In the first page there is an article about semi shotguns for big game. The first step?

Yep. First step. When thousands of hunters don't get killed, a lot of the argument against semi-autos will go away.

We already use semi auto shotguns for big game in the Special Regs areas. I've gotten two deer with my semi and buckshot

And if we wanted to be real technical, turkey is considered big game here in Pennsylvania. Did the news article specify deer hunting statewide or simply big game?

It was approved for deer, bear and elk statewide.

We have been using Semi Autos in 5C/5D for YEARS. Not a big deal.

I'm sure it helps. My 870 with rifled slug barrel and 3" 385gr partition slugs hits the shoulder pretty hard. Not very pleasent to shoot. Never shot them out of a semi though.
