Re: Ruger Mark 4
On a related note, I just traded my mk3 22/45 and got the mk4 22/45 from Tanner's. Good god, that push button disassembly is a small miracle. I never did any public whining about taking apart the mk3, but I sure as hell won't miss it. I cursed it a few times when I was cleaning it before heading to Tanner's.
Another nice little change that I haven't seen any reviews speak about is the magazine bases. On the mk3 22/45 there is a notch at the bottom of the backstrap that your palm skin could get pinched in if you were holding the pistol a certain way while you slammed a mag in. I did it one time and made a nice blood blister. On the new one they removed the notch so that can't happen. However, due to this change the mk3 22/45 mags won't fully insert into the mk4 without cutting off a small part of the mag base with a dremel.

You have to watch the loading button on the MKII mags.
I've gotten my thumbnail stuck underneath it a few times, and got the Chinese bamboo shoot torture treatment.
...and I hate that!

Re: Ruger Mark 4
Should try the old Mk I 9 round mags. I have two very early Mk I's and the button is on the other side. Later on the Mk I mags were changed around to match all of the others in later years. However, though you can change a Mk II 10 round to fit an earlier Mk I, you can get "bitten" at times. Dave_n

After reading the above whining , one can only deduce none of you ladies make a living using your hands or tools. No wonder industry can't find good skilled mechanics!
Manual dexterity is the ability to make coordinated hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects. Manual dexterity includes muscular, skeletal, and neurological functions to produce small, precise movements. Development of these skills occurs over time, primarily during childhood.I don't speak English , I talk American!

Go ahead and get one I did. I put it on and and went to the range, and it made all the difference in the world. If I would have known the slide was so miserable, I would've bought the ring same time as I bought the pistol

Re: Ruger Mark 4
Doesn't the Mark series have a last round bolt hold open? I haven't shot my MK II for a while but I'm pretty sure the answer is yes.
So you basically have to grab those ears once per shooting session, right?

I think it’s really cool of them to give away the stl file.
