    Arrow CZ 75 B problem

I've been having some problems with my CZ. After the last round is fired the slide will not stay open. Taking a wild guess at it, I probably put 1000 rounds through it.
I thought I saw this once before on the form. Somebody said a spring needs replaced. Doesn't need to go back to CZ?, Or is that something I can do. I appreciate your help. Joe

Try a different magazine first and make sure it's not a ProMag.

With only 1000 rnds through it, I'm with RockIsland - it's probably the mag. Try a new one or a new mag spring.

Where do you shoot ? Depending on timing I could possibly meet you and you can try one of my magazines if you only have the one mag and don’t have any others to tell if a mag problem.

I specialize in Cz 's and Cz' clones, you are maybe riding the slide stop or you are looking at a weak mag spring. You can get plus 10 power mag springs from Wolff Gunsprings ,that will solve a mag spring issue, Replacement mags such as Mecgar mags from Greg Cote LLC will also solve weak mag spring issues and they are way cheaper than factory CZ mags.

I was made to believe the Mecgar mags were the factory mags cz uses.

Mec-gar mags are good to go. They are very well made, I've never had an issue with one ever.

They do make OEM mags for quite a few guns. Everyone says they make the CZ mags but I don't know for sure.

They make Sarsilmaz mags, and my RIA came with two. I'm pretty sure they make some for Kel-tec too. I also have them for CZ's and HiPower. I wish they made them for the rami.

They make them for Sig, Beretta, S&W, Ruger and most popular pistols.

I also got a few extra 1911 8 rounders after I saw how well they worked.

I guess I should've said I purchased two CZ mags when I bought the pistol. It stays open on both of them.

I don't know how to apply this to all the responses I got to my inquiry.

quite by accident I stumbled across a gut saying when you clean your firearms, don't forget to periodically take your mags apart and clean them. I never had my part so I decided to look at and see what they look like. There was all kind of residue inside. I took some hoppe's foam cleaner and scrub them out with the small brush, turns out that they were filthy. Went to the range next day, and my problem was solved, the slide stayed back.
