But I agree with God's Country...everyone asks for free Venison and Jerky and all, but they really have no idea the time and effort that goes into the proper hunting and proper processing that goes into getting EXCELLENT table fare. I think they are all accustomed to gutshot hunters giving away gutshot tasting meat or something. The venison I put on my table is worth more per pound to me than any meat I could buy in a grocery store. I would be willing to trade some for a good rack of lamb though...

Bingo! When you drop your deer off you may get the steaks from your deer, but anything ground or processed is going to be a percentage of all the poor kills made that day.


I'll do it myself.

I will admit I have my deer processed now. I know the processor and know im getting back my deer. Plus the vacuum pack it and label it for me. Well worth the money as I have no room to do it myself and im not allowed to do it in the kitchen , lol. Its a little expensive but time is money.

That is who I was planning on using. Even though it’s a little bit of a haul for me I heard they have after hours drop offs and I guess if I got one really late on Saturday then I could drop it off Sunday morning in the drop off which would help me out a lot. Are the people friendly? Since I’m a new guy I just don’t wanna look like an idiot more than I already do

They are friendly enough. Menoite and all. Lol. They are a little pricey but we'll worth it. If you want to keep your antlers cut them off before you check it in. They charge you extra to do it. They charge you extra for just about everything.

Yes I usually get one where the farm my cousin hunts in the 1st round then one where I live the 2nd.
