I am not looking to do this as there are still plenty of tag's left in my unit for the 2nd run in august but I was just wondering if this was something that is legal in PA. I have read and heard that this can be done in other states since a tag is getting punch regardless of who takes it.
You should have asked that for a friend who wants to know.

C'mon, Hodgie, who's name is the tag in? Is there a spot on the back of it for an assignee?

Yeah I am aware and you are correct, again I am just going on some things I have heard in other states things like this are legal as long as both hunters are licensed and a tag is punched. I am not trying to play any games or screw the system in any way it was just a question I thought about while in bed last night. Personally I would never take more then 1 deer because I am the only one in my home who eats it.

Now I do know several people who's wives and kids don't hunt yet they always have a valid license and apply for extra permits.

I guess they just want to get some extra dollars into state conservation.

Anything you don't get caught doing is legal. I don't even get a hunting license but the deer around here eat everything in sight and it pisses me off. My neighbor has told me that I have access to one of his doe tags if I need it.

You can not let another licensed hunter shoot a doe on your tag with the exception that you may let a youth mentored hunter use your tag. I believe that is the only way they can actually shoot a antler-less deer.

How long has it been taking to get your tags back from treasurer? I had mine approved last Monday afternoon according to status site and it still wasn't in my mail box with the mail this morning. Chester Co Treasurer.

If it shows approved I would not sweat it. Mine was received the 9th and I received in the mail the 19th. My sons approved the 17th and still waiting.
