Where to shop?
I shot when I was active duty in the service. I have rediscovered how much I enjoy it-- but I am not originally from Pittsburgh. Where are the places you recommend for shooting ranges and gun shops. I am looking to get better and hopefully do target competition. I also am looking to purchase an EDC and an inexpensive but nice place to practice and grow in this sport.
I have gone almost 5 decades without needing to carry... but the world is changing and it might be time to start being a bit more cautious and a bit more self-reliant (I am learning to hunt for the first time despite growing up rural all my life).

Re: Where to shop?
Welcome.
There are tons of private clubs all around Pittsburgh, but it would help to know what part of town you'd like to look.
North, south, east, west?
You just missed the group shoot yesterday at Pitcairn Monroeville Sportsmen's Club (PMSC).
You could have gotten a look at the club while there. (the next pafoa group shoot is June 16th)
It's located in the east. Link.
There was a video tour on Youtube, but it no longer works.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Where to shop?
As far as gun shops, the largest is probably aces in washington, a couple others i recomend are guns priced right in dravosberg (on line inventory and pricing),and federal fire arms in bridgeville.

Re: Where to shop?
My house, when I am home (I move back permanently next spring).. is in West View. I found one or two clubs... but they are all listed as full and not taking new members. But I only found three. I did find Keystone in Cranberry, but they are nearly double the cost of all the other dues I find.

Re: Where to shop?
I live not too far from you, and still drive down to PMSC at least once a week. It's worth it to me.
As far as stores go, I must admit I'm a big online shopper. When I did buy guns brick and mortar, I had purchased a few firearms from Island Firearms. Store is tiny and easy to miss, but they manage to shove a lot of stuff into it. Pricing is decent. Staff has been friendly.
