Since the PAGC holds the title to the property, they can institute policies on how it is used.

We here aren't real fans of the policy either, but we also know we personally don't own that land. And just like any other service or venue, if you don't like the rules - either get them changed or go elsewhere.
Where would you rather shoot , an Ohio range or a Pa SGL range?

PA because I can follow rules and people from OH can’t drive for shit.

And maybe try voicing your opinion to some who can actually change the rules, as in the PGC. What the hell do you want us to do? We aren’t the private entity that owns the range.

    Neither.

I don't do public, open-to-public, or commercial ranges at all.

I either shoot on private land or I don't shoot at all.

Does the horse have any breath left in it or did the one-trick-pony kill it?

Using the word "Cease firing" or "Cease fire" is a word I was taught as a Range Safety Officer, that indicates an unsafe condition has been observed.

Anyone can call it but this should not be a standard call for having shooters stop shooting to go down range to tend to targets.

The whole idea of shooting is to have fun. We are competing with xbox, soccer and other youth activities for our children’s attention. Is it more fun to shot with or without mag limits. Be honest.

Cease fire works for either situation. Am I right or wrong?

Well it will work but we were trained to treat it as an unsafe situation. Ranges can choose what their commands will be so I have no idea if is used for a simple cold range command

In my experience you are wrong. But maybe they use it that way in Ohio, I really couldn’t say.
