19X or Gen4 19(w/extend Mag-XGrip Sleeve)

OK really would like to know people's experience with the 19x and if it is worth getting or should I just get a gen4 and use 17 Mags with either an XGrip extension or some other Mag Extension.
This setup would essentially mimic the 19x and currently I can get the Gen4 for about $100 less than a 19x

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on the choices.

The x-grip for using G17 mags into a G19 doesn't add additional finger grip area, it just makes for less of a "there's mag sticking past your grip" look.

To me, the 19x is not particularly interesting. I can just use a G17 mag in my 19 and not care about the visual. I mean, I may still end up getting one anyways, because I'm a glockaholic and seem to end up with everything they make eventually... but it's not on my list at the moment.

Yeah that is pretty much where I am at but I have a GSSF Blue Label coupon to use before it expires so need to make the decision now. I have a gen2 19 so dont really need a gen4 g19.

my other choice would be a G21 but not sure if I want to add another caliber to my collection right now.

Why don't you consider the Glock 34 ? That way you're getting something somewhat different in the same caliber.

Already have a 34 MOS as well as all the other 9mm
gen2 19
gen3 26
gen3 17
gen3 17L
gen4 34 MOS
gen? 43
Gen3 24 -(40S&W- Long Slide)

The 19 was my first gun but havent shot it much recently as I have been trying to feel out the 43 and 26 but took her out the other day and she still fight like a glove.

After seeing your list I think if you’re definitely going to buy one get the 19x. At least you will have the one that some people who already own 19s think they need.
