    Default Best pistol supressor?

What is the best pistol suppressor for both 45 and 9mm? So far I'm considering the Rugged Obsidian 45, AAC TI-RANT 45M, or build my own with a form 1...

Got a Liberty Cosmic 45. Will suppress up to 223 with a 16" barrel. Bout 1k rounds through it so far. All good. $799 for the can.

I really like my Rugged obsidian. I would also look at the dead air ghost if you want a modular option and griffin for a non modular option. I like being able to run short for other applications and just for fun.

AAC TiRant 45 or Silencerco Octane 45HD. IMO

I own the TiRant and have shot both; they are both great cans!

I think the Rugged Obsidian is one of the top performers right now.
Having heard many 45 cans head to head, the original TiRant and Osprey are about the same, TiRant is a deeper tone.
The Obsidian 45 in short mode is about the same to my ear as an Osprey 45 when shot side by side.

Now the "best" can be a bit difficult to say. Best at what? Size, sound, adaptation?
What do you want to do with it? Pistol only, pistol caliber carbine, 3 lug options?
How many other calibers do you mind besides 45 and 9mm? As Ducati Ron said, Liberty Cosmic is the one stop shop for that idea.

I already have a dedicated 22 rimfire supressor as well as a 7.62 supressor. I’m looking for something specifically for 45 and 9mm for pistol as well as PCC use. A three lug quick disconnect would be nice. I like the idea of being able to shorten the length if desired.

I just paid for a Rugged Obsidian 45 last night. Once it comes in from the distributor on the Form 3 I can submit my Form 4 for the purchase. Rugged has a great deal with a bunch of extra accessories now until 12/31 if you purchase an Obsidian 9 or 45. According to their ad, it's about $350 worth of accessories, including a 3-lug mount. I have 2 different .22 cans, a Gemtech 22 and a Silencerco 22, but this Rugged Obsidian 45 will handle my MPX PSB 9mm, my Beretta M9A3, any .45 I will add threaded barrels to and subsonic 300BLK. I have a Rem 700 SPS Tactical in 300BLK, as well as a Tavor X95 in 300BLK. Really looking forward to running some subs on both of them through the can. Should make for a fun summer!

I like my obsidian 9. Use it for my G19 and scorpion evo. I like the short config on the evo as the blowback is nearly non existent with it and still suppresses pretty well. I haven’t shot the 45 but I would think it’s not crazy quieter comparing both 9 and 45 cans in their short lengths. I think rugged did a good job on the obsidian 9 and I’d imagine they tested various lengths for the k configuration before deciding on the final product.

If you don’t have a 45 can or plan to shoot 45 suppressed, it would just make sense to go for the 45 unless you’re a dedicated can/host guy as it should be.

I'm still waiting for my Obsidian 45. I will see how it is on an MPX someday if I ever get my tax stamp.
