Politicians don't worry about gun owner votes anymore. Gun owners stay home and pick belly button lint during elections or vote third party morons that are funded by democrats. They understand how lazy gun owners have become and are able to put legislation into the works that takes guns away from law abiding citizens. It's a pretty obvious too.

after the election they have to start from scratch, like national reciprocity, they're holding it in senate trying to run the clock on it. a year and a half on bitchconnells desk and no vote.
