The usual stealth measures, to generate a list of every gun and who owns it, then to further marginalize gun ownership by excluding kids from the sport, and also the effort to ban all guns incrementally. Every kind of gun has been the subject of attempted bans, from cheap and inaccurate "Saturday Night Specials" to expensive and accurate "sniper rifles". From small concealable guns to large "assault weapons". All soft bullets because they expand instead of penetrating, and all hard bullets because they penetrate instead of expanding.

The "common sense gun control" types point to England and Australia as success stories. Australia banned some guns and seized them from law-abiding citizens, after first making sure that all guns were registered so that they could later enforce the bans that they secretly had planned. The Brits registered all guns and then banned all "assault rifles", then all handguns, then everything else. So we're not paranoid when we see the obvious, that the goal of the hoplophobes isn't limited to "just ban these and we'll disband". When someone keeps praising NAMBLA, it's reasonable to refuse to let them babysit your kids. When they praise British gun control, assume that they're lying about their "limited, common-sense goals".

We should look to the UK as an example; an example of what not to do. They took away all the guns, and now they live in terror of beheadings and stabbings. The idiot mayor of London wants to ban the carry of all knives; knives are tools that human beings have used for 100,000 years or more, so they evidently have some utility.

The left is stuck on stupid, all they know is "reduce crime by banning stuff, but don't punish the bad guys because you'll hurt their feelings". Well, after they ban all of the guns, and crime gets worse, they go full dimwit and propose banning knives, and outlawing self-defense even in the home, and they start to fiddle with the police numbers to make it look less disastrously Progressive by lying about how many crimes they have.

I know that Bucks is infested with Progressives who have fled the hellholes they created with their Progressive policies; I just wish that they'd apply some logic and figure out that making Bucks another Leftie s-hole isn't going to improve things for anyone except the criminals, and the Lefties will have to flee with their kids to somewhere else, somewhere far away from the imported thugs and collectivist failures.
