HB 2249 - Closing "gun show loophole"
Here's another to be opposed. It deletes the requirement for background check on sale of hand guns and expands background checks to all firearms to all firearms.

Re: HB 2249 - Closing "gun show loophole"
In order to "close the loophole" effectively you need to register firearms.
Once firearms are registered all sorts of punishments can be meted out to gun owners. Insurance requirements. Sin taxes on property. Confiscations due to "red flag" nonsense. Registration lists can be taken illegally and given to burglars and criminals.
All of these punishments can be used to make gun ownership painful.
After all, how does their narrative go? Less guns, less violence?
