$1,000 daily fine if you don't remove your weapon... Crazy.

They going to send officers door to door to ensure compliance? Nothing like some feel good virtue signaling.

This is the reason we worked so hard to get the "Preemption" law in PA.

Re: Deerfield Village Board unanimously votes to ban some semi-automatic weapons
I have little doubt of it. The State will probably support it and begin developing their training and tactics for door to door searches and confiscations. Deerfield would be sort of the perfect petri dish. Small enough to work with. I looked it up. The Village has a population of about 18,500, covers a little over 5 square miles, and has something like 6,600 households. The anti-Constitution zealots who pass these laws are just as serious about enforcing them. I would venture to guess that every citizen that spoke in opposition to this law is already on a list of suspects. It is an affluent white liberal Democrat stronghold. You don't think those lefty libs are going to rat out anyone that they think might own a banned firearm? They will go out of their way to do it, knowing there would be little opposition to the searches and confiscations. Probably no better way to become a hero in the town's cocktail party circuit.
I have always said that you cannot infringe one Constitutional right without infringing others in the process. To infringe the Second Amendment, government usually has to trample the 4th, 5th and even the 1st. We will witness it unfold in some location somewhere within a year.Last edited by Wilderness 1864; April 3rd, 2018 at 05:32 PM.

Let's just pass a constitutional amendment to ban alcohol. Then our country will never have alcohol problems again.
