So, if passed, if one's state doesn't require a Permit to Purchase before doing the actual purchase, they won't be allowed to do any official travel.

How many states actually have such a Permit to Purchase requirement?
Two that I know of; New Jersey & Illinois. They may be more, but not many. Illinois and NJ, perfect together. This law requires another background check and fingerprinting. More useless redundancy. If you are a subject of the PRNJ You have to have one to possess any firearm.

    No entirely true.

if something is passed onto you via inheritance, you do not need a FID.

What about all the people in Levittown and the surrounding communities close to Trenton? Every morning on my way to work I spot, among the swarm of PA plates heading over the river a few NJ state vehicles.

Does this mean these 'essential enough' workers that are given state cars in order to be available 24/7 to respond to problems in NJ loose their state cars?

I know a college friend [now counting the days to retirement] at the DEP. When he was a supervisor and had a car, it came with free parking, maintenance and gas.

When Florio took a bunch of the cars away, he was griping about having to pay to park and fuel his own auto...
