buy shield 9mm with crimson laser or without?

shields are 319$ without a laser and 329$ with a red crimson trace laser. Are the lasers removable? I am about to order a shield for EDC and want to know if the red laser is worthless. I have researched a little and it seams red laser is not visible during the daytime thats why they make the green. Is this true? Will i notice the size difference if it has a laser in my inner waist holster? thanks guys!
