Re: Reloading 45lc and .38
I've used many different kinds of primers. Old ones, new ones, all the makers. I've bought bricks of ancient primers and they all worked.
They are a small part of the equation.American by BIRTH, Infidel by CHOICE

Re: Reloading 45lc and .38
There are many variables in reloading. A primer is part of those variables. I wouldn't be too worried about which primer you pick.
For a new load I usually buy what the reloading manual lists while developing that load. This reduces the variation from what they found during their work.
Once I have a load developed I start to experiment. Normally I go with what I can purchase, usually CCI.Last edited by GeneCC; April 9th, 2018 at 08:18 PM.
