    Default Loading .357 mag ??s

Been reloading for a good while now but ran into something I have not seen yet...I have several cases of small pistol primers but ran out of small pistol MAGNUM primers awhile ago and heve not loaded any .357 lately.
Got ready to load a bunch of .357s today and 4got about the primers. What is yer experience w std loads of .357s w regular small pistol primers?? I sure wd like to use up the std primers. I know not to use rifle primers...bks allegedly you get more misfires bks of "hard primers" and lighter hits in pistols. Thoughts?

The decision to use mag or std primers is based on the powder and amount used and not the cartridge designation. In the 357 I would/have only used mag primers when using Win 296/H110 powders. If you are not loading those powders or something similar you will be fine with std primers.

I use 2400 for.357 regularly with standard primers and have never had a problem.

I will be loading .357 soon and small pistol primers seem to be the go to for target loads with powders like Unique.
